Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how TechCats Labs ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our software-as-a-service ("SaaS") platform and AI agents for direct‑to‑consumer (DTC) companies, including but not limited to sales agents, customer support agents, compliance agents, feedback agents, and any future AI agents we may develop for additional use cases. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws.
AI Voice Disclosure
Our automated sales system uses artificial intelligence technology to generate human-like voice interactions. By providing consent, you acknowledge and agree to receive calls that may use AI-generated voices. We collect and store call recordings, conversation summaries, and customer preference data to improve our AI systems and provide personalized service. This data may be retained for up to 7 years and will be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
We collect and process information in the following categories: Account & Business Information (name, email, phone, company, job title, login credentials); Customer Communication Data (messages, inquiries, chat transcripts, call recordings, support tickets, and any other interactions handled by our AI agents); Sales & Transaction Data (purchase history, prospect details, order records, invoicing details); Compliance Data (documents, records, files reviewed by compliance AI agent or similar agents); Feedback & Surveys (ratings, reviews, survey responses processed by feedback AI agent or similar agents); Usage & Technical Data (device type, browser info, IP address, activity logs, cookies); Payment Information (processed securely via trusted third-party providers); and AI Analysis Data (customer behavior patterns, conversation sentiment analysis, personalization preferences, and interaction effectiveness metrics). Our AI analyzes customer data including purchase history, communication preferences, and behavioral patterns to provide personalized sales conversations and improve service delivery. This analysis integrates with Shopify customer data when applicable. As we develop new AI agents for additional use cases, we may collect additional types of data relevant to those specific services, which will be disclosed in updates to this policy.
How We Use Your Information
We use information to: Provide, operate, and maintain the TechCats Labs platform and AI agent functionalities (including current and future agents); Enable interactions between AI agents and your customers (answering queries, processing feedback, assisting in compliance reviews, recording sales interactions, and any other agent-specific functions); Enhance AI sales conversations through customer data analysis, personalization algorithms, and behavioral pattern recognition; Improve AI accuracy, train models, and enhance service performance (in anonymized or aggregated form); Communicate with you regarding service updates, security alerts, and customer support; Process transactions, send invoices, and handle subscription billing; Detect, prevent, and address security threats, fraud, or technical issues; Comply with applicable laws and contractual obligations; and Share data with third-party AI service providers who assist in processing and improving our AI systems. Customer data is used to enhance AI sales conversations by analyzing purchase history, communication preferences, and interaction patterns to provide more personalized and effective service.
Data Controller vs. Data Processor Roles
For Our Customers (DTC Businesses): You are the Data Controller of your customer data. TechCats Labs (TechCats Labs LLP) acts as a Data Processor, handling personal data strictly on your instructions. For our own account, billing, and operations data, we act as a Data Controller. This applies to all current and future AI agents and services we provide.
AI Agent Transparency & Automated Decisions
Some interactions are managed entirely by automated AI agents (including current and future agents we may develop). This may include responding to customer queries, processing compliance checks, handling routine support, or performing other automated functions specific to each agent type. Where AI makes automated decisions with legal or significant effects, end-users may request human review or appeal via the DTC company using our platform.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
We may share information with trusted service providers (hosting providers, analytics tools, AI infrastructure, payment gateways); to comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, or lawful government requests; during corporate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, or asset transfers; and with your consent or as otherwise disclosed in this Privacy Policy.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and role-based permissions, and regular system audits and monitoring. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide our services, fulfill contractual obligations, resolve disputes, or comply with legal requirements. Specific retention periods include: Call recordings and conversation logs are retained for up to 7 years for quality assurance and legal compliance purposes; Customer profiles and interaction data are retained for up to 5 years after the last interaction; Account and billing information is retained for up to 7 years for tax and legal compliance; Marketing consent preferences are maintained for at least 5 years as required by applicable regulations. When retention is no longer necessary, data will be securely deleted or anonymized.
International Data Transfers
We may transfer and process your information outside your country of residence. We ensure adequate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections, in compliance with applicable law.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to: Access your personal data including call recordings, conversation summaries, and customer profiles; Correct or update your data; Request deletion of your personal information; Restrict or object to certain processing including AI-powered communications; Receive your data in a portable format; Opt-out of AI-generated calls and automated communications; Request human review of automated decisions made by our AI systems; and Revoke consent for AI voice interactions at any time. You may revoke consent for AI calls by contacting us at founder@techcatslabs.com or using the opt-out methods provided in our communications. We will honor your request within 30 days and maintain records of your preference for at least 5 years. Requests should be sent to founder@techcatslabs.com.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed toward individuals under 16 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If such data is discovered, we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including when we introduce new AI agents or services. If we make material changes, we will notify customers by email or in-product notice.
